Kristin LeClair Zurowski

Kristin LeClair Zurowski is an associate with Thienel Law Firm, LLC. Her practice focuses on tax law, business and commercial law, employment law, real estate and animal law. Kristin began working with Thienel Law Firm in June 2008, following a 19 year career as an accountant in both private and public industry. In addition to being an attorney, Kristin is a certified public accountant, and certified internal auditor.

In Kristin's capacity as an accountant, she has served as finance and operations director of a private equity firm, controller of a law firm and two joint venture start-up entities, internal audit manager of a publicly traded real estate operator and developer, senior project accountant of a regional commercial and residential property management company, and manager of a public accounting firm. In addition to Kristin's accounting role in her various positions, she also served as benefits administrator at the law firm and private equity firm with which she was previously employed.

Kristin earned a BS in Accounting from George Mason University, and a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Kristin has volunteered on behalf of children and animals throughout her adult life in several capacities. She served as Treasurer for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Northern Virginia for 11 years. During law school, she participated in a family mediation clinic, including child access mediation, earning certificates in basic and child access mediation. She currently serves as an advocate for abused and neglected children who have been placed in foster care, as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate with the Anne Arundel County CASA program.

Kristin lives in Churchton, Maryland with her husband, a sergeant with the Metropolitan Police Department, her daughter, two dogs, and four cats.
