From Baltimore and the Eastern Shore through the Montgomery and Prince George’s County corridors — formation, contracts, transactions, and the estate plans that follow.
Counsel across the whole DMV
Business, tax, and estate matters rarely stop at a state line. Thienel Law is one firm, licensed in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, so a company with a Bethesda office, a District client list, and a Virginia landlord gets one attorney rather than three.
Why the state line matters more than the drive
Maryland, the District, and Virginia each have their own entity rules, their own taxes, and their own courts. Few regional attorneys are admitted in all three, which is why work that crosses a line usually gets split between firms — and why the seams between them are where things get missed.
The District registers, taxes, and regulates businesses on its own terms. A company that crosses into it needs counsel admitted there, not counsel guessing from across the river.
Northern Virginia — Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and Tysons — is served from the firm’s own office, and the rest of the Commonwealth remotely.
Every service area, by jurisdiction
Each page covers the businesses, courts, and filing offices of that place specifically. If yours is not listed, it is almost certainly still served — the list names where the firm works most often, not the limit of where it can.

Thienel Law works with clients across Maryland, D.C., and Virginia by secure document exchange, e-signature, and video, and meets in person at the Alexandria office when that is the better way to do it. Where you are should not decide what counsel you can get.
